Pottery: In House

Mike Smocker has rightly said, “Learning, without any opportunities to share what we’ve learned, is a little like cooking for ourselves; we do it, but we probably won’t do it well.”Following this line of thought, Mount Literans availed an opportunity, where they visited the pottery centre and got acquainted with various kinds of pottery. A workshop was also conducted by the experts from Andretta Pottery Centre, Kasauli where the students attained profound knowledge about the creative art of pottery making. It was a great opportunity for the students because they got the firsthand experience in the sculpturing of pottery. After thorough research, analysis and on floor training of pottery, the students assimilated their experiences in form of scrapbooks, travel journals and articles. It was a wholesome experience for the students as it improved their cognitive and writing skills. They also tried to uplift the vanishing art of pottery.
